About

How it started

What is Peacenic?

Peacenic was created by U.S. Attorney Dawn N. Ison to reduce violence, provide resources, and foster harmony between law enforcement and communities.

These gatherings are part of the One Detroit Violence Reduction Partnership, a collaboration between community and law enforcement groups focused on designing and implementing effective strategies to reduce violent crime. The approach is built around three key pillars: enforcement, prevention, and reentry.

A Space for Connection and Support

Peacenic events serve as a community platform where the public and law enforcement come together in a peaceful setting. In addition to fun and engaging activities, these events provide attendees with access to essential resources aimed at improving their quality of life.

Mission
Statement

Peacenic exists to create a united, peaceful, and empowered community by fostering collaboration, reducing violence, and providing practical support to the most vulnerable populations. Through community events, mentorship, education, and partnerships, we aim to restore hope, elevate youth, and engage residents in shaping safe, thriving neighborhoods. Our mission is rooted in love, unity, and personal responsibility – with the belief that “If it is to be… then it is up to me!”
